ANTONIA ELLIS

Antonia (Toni) Ellis is currently working as the Executive Producer on an independent film/comedy, "The Prankster," which begins shooting this Fall 2008. Prior to this, she traveled between Los Angeles and Vancouver, working as a Supervising Producer for two seasons of the ABC-TV series, "Men in Trees," starring Anne Heche. Having worked together on Sex & The City, Antonia teamed up again with the Executive Producer, Jenny Bicks.

From 1999-2004, Antonia was a Producer on the award-winning HBO series, "Sex & The City." She also worked with HBO as the Co-Producer on David Simon's six-hour mini-series, "The Corner," which received an Emmy for Best Mini-Series (2000) and a Peabody Award. During the 2005- 2006 TV season, Antonia moved back to NYC to work as the Co-Producer on the music-based CBS-TV series (with subsequent airings on VH1), "Love Monkey."

Prior to relocating to NYC from Los Angeles, she was a Producer on a television sit-com pilot for DreamWorks/ABC entitled "Immediate Family" while also working at DreamWorks SKG Television as a Production Executive and as the Head of Post Production for three years (1995-1998). Before joining DreamWorks during its start-up, she was the U.S. Supervising Producer on the reality French co-production/television series "USHUAIA: Adventures of Nicolas Hulot." Ms. Ellis' first producing job was as Associate Producer on the CBS-TV drama series "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," in 1991. Additional television credits include the series, "Sessions" for HBO and "Grapevine" for CBS-TV.

Antonia Co-Created/Wrote/Produced an independent children's film, "The Adventures of Cinderella's Daughter." She has written a feature film, "My Clara," about the true story of Clara and Robert Schumann, which was an entry in the Berlin Film Festival's Berlinale Co-Production Market, 2005. A portion of it was published by Harvard University in the Charles River Review.

Antonia's domestic and international experience began in feature films, working with such companies as the BBC (London), Columbia Pictures, Castle Rock Entertainment, Morgan Creek Productions and Universal Studios. In 1989, she moved to Los Angeles to work as Joe Roth's assistant, then Chairman of 20th Century Fox Film Corp. Thereafter, she worked as Billy Crystal's assistant on "City Slickers." Her other feature credits include: "Parenthood," "Young Guns II," "Coupe De Ville," "Red Shoe Diaries," "Ford Fairlane," and "Married to the Mob." Antonia began her early career in music videos and stadium rock concert promotion/production and the record industry. Her passion in music led to Radio, where she worked as a Disc Jockey/Producer and hosted her own morning show.

Antonia received her Masters of Liberal Arts Degree in Literature and Creative Writing from Harvard University in June 2008. She earned her B.S. in Communications at Miami University (Ohio) with an emphasis in Television & Radio Production and also holds a Music Minor in Classical Piano Performance, including a semester abroad in London, England at Ealing College.

Ms. Ellis is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Producers Guild of America, Screen Actors Guild, American Film Institute and Women in Film. She previously held a position on the Advisory Board for the Caption Center (division of WGBH, Boston). An Ohio native, Ms. Ellis spends her time between Los Angeles and NYC. She has also lived and worked in London, England; Miami, Florida; Vancouver, B.C.

As a member of Team in Training, Antonia ran the Los Angeles Marathon 2007 in honor of her aunt and to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Her hobbies include: music, yoga, scuba diving, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, sugar-free baking, and knitting. She is very passionate about encouraging children and helping them build their self-esteem through the arts.
